Venture Capital Investment Recovers Amid Growing Emphasis on Project Quality
According to the Vietnam Innovation and Private Capital Report 2026, jointly prepared by the National Innovation Center (NIC), the Vietnam Private Capital Agency (VPCA), and Boston Consulting Group (BCG), total private capital investment in Vietnam reached approximately USD 4.5 billion across 149 deals in 2025. Of this amount, venture capital investment totaled USD 509 million, representing a 28% increase compared to 2024, despite the number of deals declining to 103. The recovery in investment value indicates a growing concentration of capital in projects with strong technological foundations, viable business models, and clear growth prospects. Notably, investment in artificial intelligence (AI) in Vietnam increased approximately 13-fold in 2025 compared to 2023, reflecting growing investor interest in technological solutions with practical application potential. In this context, innovative startups require not only financial capital but also support from investors, experts, and partners to refine products, strengthen management capabilities, and access markets. Enhancing connections among these resources has therefore become increasingly important for enterprise development and technology commercialization.
