From Technological Potential to Real-World Value
As science, technology, and innovation increasingly become important drivers of economic growth, translating research outcomes and technological developments into practical applications has become a key priority for innovative startups. While new technologies may provide an initial competitive advantage, developing them into market-ready products requires businesses to demonstrate their ability to address specific challenges, deliver effective solutions, and create tangible value for users. Under the theme “From Tech to Life”, the TECHFEST Vietnam 2026 Competition places emphasis not only on technological innovation but also on the potential to transform technologies into practical products and services with commercialization prospects. These solutions may span various sectors, including manufacturing, agriculture, healthcare, education, the environment, and urban development. In particular, progress in prototype development, real-world testing, customer feedback, partnerships, and initial business activities provides an important basis for assessing a solution's ability to meet market demands and its potential for scaling up. Through the competition, innovative startups have opportunities to participate in training and mentoring activities, engage with experts, investors, and potential partners, and further refine their products and business models while strengthening their competitiveness.
